Satyanarayana Vratham

We are very honoured and pleased to share that we are organizing Samoohika Sri Satyanarayana Swami Vratham in the auspicious Kaarteeka maasam on 5th Nov 2022 (Saturday).

Bhakti – the eternal love of god

Bhakti is defined in the Britannica as a movement emphasizing the mutual intense emotional attachment and love of a devotee toward a personal god and of the god for the devotee. According to the Bhagavadgita, a Hindu religious text, the path of bhakti (bhakti-marga) can be contrasted with two other religious approaches, the path of knowledge (jnana) and the path of ritual and good works (karma).

Sampradaya – the hindu traditions and values

Hindu traditions and values are at the heart of every religious ceremony and foster spirituality in among the hindu community. Bhakti Sampradaya aims to foster these values within the community through socio-religious gatherings, satsangs and the celebration of hindu festivals.

Bhakti Sampradaya

Bhakti Sampradaya was born from the common desire within the Reading hindu community to promote awareness of Hindu values and beliefs and to celebrate Hindu festivals locally. A few of us decided to form a humble organisation that would dedicate itself to this cause, and so Bhakti Sampradaya was setup.

Bhakti is the eternal love of god and is expressed in various ways by everyone including selfless dedication to a religious or charitable cause.
Sampradaya represents the values and traditions of the hindu religion and forms the moral compass by which we gauge ourselves.

The team hopes to promote Bhakti and Sampradaya within the local community through events including poojas, celebrations and satsangs. It is our belief that we should be an inclusive group and no member who desires to participate should be left out, volunteering and participation are wholeheartedly encouraged.
